When Meena joined a Self Help Group in her village of Rajasthan, she could barely read or write. Today, she serves as the president of a federation representing 45 SHGs, managing a collective fund of over ₹2.5 crore. 'The SHG became my school, my bank, my family,' she reflects. Our Women SHG program has established 320 groups reaching over 4,800 women across three districts. These weekly gatherings do more than facilitate savings—they've become safe spaces where women discuss domestic violence, girls' education, and political participation. Last year alone, SHG members successfully advocated for a new Anganwadi center, stopped two child marriages, and saw 156 members elected to local village councils. The program's holistic approach includes leadership development, digital literacy, and legal awareness training. 'We started with just ₹20 a month in savings,' Meena adds. 'Now we're investing in each other's dreams.'
